  • Real-time passenger load information now available.

    published 3 years ago

    API users,

We have added real-time passenger load information to our vehicles feed. There are three new fields for each vehicle:

    • passenger_load: The current estimated number of passengers on the vehicle. A null value means this information is not available for the vehicle.
    • seating_capacity: The seating capacity of the vehicle. Null means this information is not available.
    • standing_capacity: The standing capacity of the vehicle. Null means this information is not available.

Total vehicle capacity can be obtained by summing seating_capacity and standing_capacity.

Note: Real-time passenger load information is not available for all TransLoc agencies. Only agencies that utilize passenger-counting equipment are able to generate that data.
